Love can take a piss in the fields,
Elder is with me,
Dead can take a walk up my arse,
Invisibility is my right hand’s play,
Voldemort’s blood seeked revenge,
But it was his sophomoric nature,
That helped Albus Severus Potter
in bringing about his downfall.

@cool_rascal:
My previous company's people were sophomoric which affected me in many different way, I shall never forget. On a positive note, I learned to deal with them.
@kuttijetti:
The sophomoric in me thinks I can actually come up with a sentence using the word sophomoric.

Seeing the little hurt pup on the corner of the road, little Raj ran to his mother and begged her to buy him a packet of biscuits. She was unsure why he would do that for they had just had a sumptuous lunch at the restaurant! The minute she handed the packet to him, he ran across the street and fed the hungry puppy. This very gesture was evince of his innocence and unconditional love for animals.

Entry 1:
Chowmein causes rape,
An Iron rod that left incurable scars,
A proposed ban on sex education,
A terror attack that not just took countless lives,
The carcasses of the Badaun girls that were hung by the tree,
All these and many more had evinced,
The slow death of Humanity.
Entry 2:
They were a perfect couple. He brought her flowers. She cooked him delicious meals. He gave her gifts. She gave him all her time. In bed, he made her desires come true. She gave him more than her heart. He too went out of his way and gave her scars that evinced her story of trauma and fear.
@myth_ology:
He always wanted to be a painter.
At the age of 16, he used to be glued in front of the computer in search of his next inspiration.
At least that’s what his mother thought.
Until he forgot to Ctrl+Shift+N one day, and Ctrl+H evinced his true colours!

Indians may love cricket more but when they kick something on the road it evinces the football in them.

The yearly progress report card was couriered home. She opened it with shivering hands, reciting a silent prayer.
"FAIL" in bold red letters, stared straight at her. For the third consecutive time.
When it reached dad, he was fuming. He exited the living room in exasperation, and stormed into her bedroom.
She thought she heard an explosion, something had gone crashing to the floor. She inched towards the room, trembling in fear. Her dreaded nightmare was unkindly unfolding in front of her.
Dad could have broken her violin, but the marks on her fingers will evince the phenomenal artist in her, forever.

'Call me Pika,' the little boy insisted; how he loved Pikachu. Years later, the sobriquet stayed, only now he was a Picaroon.
@abhishekaggy:
He knew he was a picaroon. Therein his irresistible charm.
@WordSmithish:
She passed,
He winked,
“Pervert, Picaroon”, she thought.
His eyes refused to stop,
The eye condition had started to worsen.

Against the formidable force of his conscience, the picaroon within easily nudged him forward to commit the infallible crime.

Done with his task list for the day, he slipped into comfort on his favourite bench at Dadar station. Humming a popular item song, he opened a packet of biscuits, to go with his 17th cigarette of the day and hot cup of chai.
Without minutes, a child came dragging herself up to him. She had no legs, and torn clothes. Weeping, she pointed to the biscuits.
For the first ever time, it moved him. For the first ever time, he parted with something he stole. It confused him, but for the first ever time, the picaroon felt pity.
So, I've started learning a word a day. Sharing it with the world and getting interested people on board to come and write a sentence/story/poem. Here are a few entries from the first word.
Senescence:
@Ajaw_
Amma, I Love You!
People come, people go.
But little do they know,
The many thoughts I would like to say.
With each passing day,
I only get lonelier with your memories, you know.
To watch you suffer, to hear you moan in pain.
Endless through day. And through dark.
I wished not, you bear again.
For senescence and struggle had left their mark
On those beautiful eyes that did spark.
They did their best to make you stay
Yet I chose to let you slip away.
Guilt floods me in silence,
As I am left to count your absence
And wonder if it would have made a difference.
Five became four
And as our lives changed forever
We swear to hold onto each other more.
For this void will be filled, never.
We cry and we wish you were here like before.
Forever grateful am I,
To all the love and kindness, You've for me.
If I'd one wish, before you said goodbye
I'd have held you tight and not let you go free.
I don't want memories, I only want you.
@keshyperion:
Only sentence,no story,poem and all. You know senescence has set in when you jump around puddles rather than jump into them.
@ShephaliBhatt:
Glory of achievements, taken away by evanescence Face's sheen, taken away by senescense Only words contained her real essence
@WordSmitish:
He had seen her at her worst,
He had seen her at her best,
He had touched the porcelain like skin,
He had run his hand through her rippling cascade of locks,
In their dreams, they had lived many lives together,
In their moments, he had seen her transformation
From a girlfriend to ‘girlfriend zilla.’
Union had not been a child’s play,
The bad hair days were just not extended to hair,
The mood swings lasted for days,
Anniversaries now were just not about a single message,
Love had to co-exist with responsibility.
From the prime of their life,
They had reached the end,
The wrinkled skin had been touched,
The frail figure had been adored,
But Senescence had not taken away
the beauty of those dark brown eyes.
