Word #6: Rident

Rident

The campus was big and my fellow graduates were beaming and rident at the prospect of working here.

@AnkitaShreeram:

Her last words -"Tell me a joke." Even today when I visit, I regale her with a joke. I swear I can still hear the laughter. "She died, rident"

@TheBongHandle:

Over the years she saw her rident mother becoming a quiet little corner object.

@r3dash:

As the congregation at martyr Matt's funeral continued mourning, his rident two-year-old daughter was the only anomaly.

@bossitive:

For a perennially rident person, it is pretty evident that something wrong has happened. And woman, your eyes never lie to me.

@Shubhlime:

She stopped and abruptly ended what she thought was the best performance of her life. The anger was growing inside but no one could see. Backstage, she sat down in front of the mirror and started wiping the white paint off her face. The earlier rident face was now fogged with sorrow. She wasn't a clown. She was a performer, a pantomime. No more painted smiles, she thought to herself.

@moodytambrahm:

"Cancer", said the reports.

 Her heart sunk. She could not watch her son die.

"Mourning will not help you, dear. Make his last few days, the best ever." her mother advised with all her heart.

Wiping a painful tear off her face, she took it upon herself to bring joy to little Adi's life. Gifts, surprises, parties, cakes, new clothes, trip to Disneyland, meet Rajnikanth, and what not.

Even when The End approached, the smile on his rident face never faded.

 @WordSmithish:

Reluctant words,
Uptight deadlines,
Bad briefs,
Daft clients,
Rident copywriters,
You will have to look hard.
